The company is proud to welcome new engineers and researchers whose expertise reflects a shared commitment to excellence in electroacoustics, signal processing, and real-world acoustic applications.

Leading this new chapter is Adrien De Giovanni, Ph.D., who joins Amadeus as the new Head of Research & Development. Adrien’s academic journey began at the PTSI preparatory school in Versailles and led to an engineering degree from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers, followed by a Master’s degree in Acoustical Engineering at ENSTA (Institut Polytechnique de Paris). He earned his Ph.D. in coupled physics systems at Université Grenoble Alpes, where his research focused on piezoelectric micro-actuators for cartilaginous conduction earphones. At Amadeus, Adrien De Giovanni oversees the development of advanced loudspeaker systems, and next-gen acoustic solutions driven by a belief that physics should serve real-world sound experiences.

He is committed to continuing the Company’s technological vision with the same dedication to sound quality that marked the 33-year Amadeus R&D legacy of Michel Deluc, co-founder of the Amadeus brand in 1992, and now retired.

Adrien De Giovanni sees today’s market evolution not just as a quest for more compact and efficient systems, but as a broader opportunity to rethink how dispersion is managed – particularly at low frequencies – and to develop new strategies for shaping sound with accuracy and control.

His focus extends from optimizing loudspeaker directivity and actively managing room acoustics, to reducing noise pollution through innovative technologies – all with the goal of creating harmonious relationships between sound systems and their acoustic environments, rather than letting them work against each other.

To meet the growing demand for custom developments – a reflection of Amadeus’ long-standing bespoke philosophy – he is also streamlining development processes through advanced modeling, simulation, and experimental validation.

De Giovanni explains: “The NUMAX loudspeaker series represents a first step in that direction combining, a low-frequency section with controlled rear rejection, and a mid-high section featuring an original waveguide design that loads both a compression driver and a cone midrange transducer. The result is a system with consistent directivity control across nearly the entire audible spectrum. Looking ahead, developing low-frequency loudspeakers that are impedance-matched to air could significantly reduce power requirements without compromising sound level or quality. Our MAESTRO subwoofer series already reflects this philosophy and will continue to evolve in more compact formats. Finally, as real-time spatial audio becomes more prevalent, loudspeakers must be designed with excellent off-axis response to fully support immersive technologies.”

De Giovanni also leads some deep tech innovation programs at Amadeus – most being confidential – including parametric design methods for MHF waveguides. “We are actively developing FEM-driven tools for the parametric design of mid–high frequency waveguides, leveraging coverage and impulse response simulations to automatically generate optimized waveguide geometries for loudspeakers in fixed-installation contexts. The ability to algorithmically tailor the directivity of a system — based specifically on simulated or in-situ acoustic responses — represents the ultimate extension of our ‘Haute Couture’ heritage, where each waveguide can be engineered as a truly bespoke response to architectural and acoustic constraints.”

Also contributing to this momentum is Numa Galipot, an Electroacoustic Engineer with a Master’s degree in Acoustics and Vibrations from the École Nationale d’Ingénieur du Mans. For the past three years, Numa has played a key role in developing Amadeus loudspeakers such as the C 3, C 4, CX 15 R, and DIVA M? SUB NEO. He works across the full product lifecycle – from R&D to manufacturing – and regularly calibrates systems on-site in prestigious venues, ensuring each space delivers optimal audio performance.

Galipot describes ‘Piano Rubato’, his first project at Amadeus, as one of the most inspiring. Designed by artists Mélissa Von Vépy and Stéphan Oliva, the scenography features a concert piano, nestled in the wreckage of a vessel, crowned with a tall mast that sways and points toward the sky. The rotating, tilting sculptural instrument required a custom loudspeaker system capable of emulating the acoustic behavior of a piano through reflections, baffle effects, and resonance. “Seeing it come to life on stage was pure magic,” Galipot recalls. “What I love most about working at Amadeus is being involved from concept to delivery, and working closely across the team to shape each project with care and precision.”

Joining this dynamic team is Hector Teyssier, a Ph.D. candidate whose academic path has spanned McGill University, Audiokinetic, and Queen Mary University of London. In January 2025, Hector began a CIFRE doctoral program co-supervised by IRCAM, the Amadeus R&D team, and HOLOPHONIX. His research focuses on predicting the performance of spatial sound systems and optimizing them according to the reproduction context — combining room acoustics simulation, perceptual modeling, and advanced optimization strategies to support next-generation immersive audio design.

“My goal is to develop tools that enable creators and professionals to shape immersive sound in an intuitive yet scientifically grounded way,” explains Hector Teyssier. “As part of my joint Ph.D. program between Amadeus and the EAC Lab at IRCAM, I’m fortunate to work at the intersection of academic research and industry practice, where creative ambition meets technical precision. Our aim is to make immersive audio technologies more transparent, tunable, and deployable. Key challenges ahead include modeling human auditory perception and optimizing loudspeaker configurations to expand the ‘immersive sweet area’ – where experiences are most accurate and impactful.”

Axel Jougleux, who just completed an international Master’s degree in Electroacoustics at Le Mans Université, brings a multidisciplinary background in engineering, signal processing, and acoustics (IMDEA). With degrees from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne and Chalmers University in Sweden, Axel’s research at Amadeus focuses on active acoustic absorption, loudspeaker control, and real-time DSP implementation. In 2026, Axel will begin a Ph.D. thesis in partnership with Amadeus, and prestigious IRCAM Research Center – under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Helie – further deepening his contribution to the company’s research efforts. His passion for sound and innovation aligns perfectly with Amadeus’ forward-thinking ethos.

“I’ve always been curious about how things work, especially in science, acoustics, and audio,” says Axel Jougleux. “What drives me is deeply understanding the theory, knowing where equations and phenomena come from. But just as important to me is connecting that theory to the real world: how ideas explain what we observe and help us improve systems. At Amadeus, I have the chance to put that mindset into practice: transforming abstract principles into tangible, high-performance acoustic tools.”

Driving Amadeus’s international growth is Yassine Zaim, International Sales Director. With over a decade of experience at the intersection of music, technology, and business development, he plays a key role in expanding the company’s presence in global markets. A multi-instrumentalist and graduate of top institutions in France, the U.S., and Brazil, Yassine previously held strategic roles at Roon Labs and Devialet, where he led projects across diverse international landscapes. At Amadeus, he is focused on building strong partnerships and promoting the company’s innovative audio solutions worldwide.

“At Amadeus, we view innovation as a responsibility: the ability to anticipate tomorrow’s artistic and technical challenges and respond with precision, elegance, and purpose. We partner with world-class designers, institutions, artists, and integrators who seek more than just performance; they look for collaborators capable of engineering tailored, forward-thinking audio solutions. What distinguishes Amadeus is our commitment to excellence, our deep understanding of complex environments, and our belief that sound, when thoughtfully delivered, can elevate every dimension of a project,” says Yassine Zaim.

Contributing to the evolution of the Amadeus brand image is Helen Karam, Brand Content Creator. With a Master’s degree in Photography and Contemporary Art from Paris 8 University, Helen has developed a multidisciplinary approach to visual storytelling through her work in the luxury, lifestyle, and hospitality sectors. At Amadeus, she leads content strategy and production, managing photography, video, social media, and press communication. Her goal is to craft narratives that translate complex sound systems and technologies into accessible and emotionally resonant stories.
The addition of these talented team members reflects Amadeus’ long-standing belief that groundbreaking sound systems result from the fusion of art, science, and precision engineering.

“Building a team capable of honoring the legacy shaped by Michel Deluc was no easy task. Michel was a singular figure — blending deep expertise in electronics, acoustics, and electroacoustics with a profound musical sensibility, an exceptional ear, and the soul of a jazz bassist. It took me nearly two years to find individuals who shared that same passion, that same fascination for the intersection of art and technology, and the same desire to create tools that serve artistic expression,” says Gaetan Byk, Owner and CEO of Amadeus.

“With such talents — as humble as they are brilliant — I have no doubt that Amadeus is entering a bold new chapter, one that is more avant-garde and disruptive than ever, while staying true to the DNA instilled by those who came before us,” adds Gaetan Byk.

“This new team, led by Adrien de Giovanni, is enabling us to explore groundbreaking research areas that have long fascinated me: the ultra-precise directivity control through three-dimensional beamforming, the development of active absorbers and metamaterials, the complex simulation of immersive systems in both free-field and reverberant environments enriched by perceptual criteria, among many others. These explorations are a testament to our commitment to shaping the future of acoustics and electroacoustics. Our close collaboration with IRCAM’s research teams and our sister company HOLOPHONIX fuels unique synergies between science, art, and engineering,” concludes Gaetan Byk.

New engineers and researchers join Amadeus to drive next-generation loudspeaker technologies forward, strengthen R&D, and meet rising demand for innovative…
Read More »

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[48,6,1

post-2285","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-amadeus","category-press-relations","category-uncategorized
["GET
