New Dolby Atmos mix room features Focal Trio11 Be for LCR and Solo6 ST6 for the surrounds and height speakers along with Sub12 subwoofers<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Studio<\/a>Focal has announced the first all-Focal Dolby Atmos\u00ae mix room in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the famed Studio DMI headquarters. The new 7.1.4 \u2018Studio D\u2019 design features three of Focal\u2019s flagship Trio11 Be pro monitors for LCR and eight of the company\u2019s new Solo6 ST6 for the surrounds and height speakers. Two Focal Sub12 subwoofers handle LFE and bass management.<\/p>\n

\u201cA Focal system is great because it is a system that I trust and am comfortable with,\u201d says Studio DMI Founder and world-renowned mixing and mastering engineer Luca Pretolesi. \u201cIt is an extension of my ears, allowing me to achieve a level of accuracy and precision in my sound stage that is unparalleled.\u201d Pretolesi recently mixed Drake\u2019s \u201cHonestly, Nevermind\u201d<\/em> album at Studio DMI on their Focal Trio11 monitors.\u00a0While engineer Robert Guzman mixed and mastered the new Skrillex album \u201cQuest For\u00a0Fire\u201d<\/em> in Dolby Atmos in the new Studio D.<\/p>\n

Pretolesi explains his connection to the new studio design featuring Dolby Atmos and Focal monitors, \u201cA Focal system with Dolby Atmos is a more dynamic, engaging, and immersive listening experience. The studio design was completed in the Spring of 2022. The room design was by Haverstick Designs, with the technical systems design by Pretolesi and Focal\u2019s Joshua Estock. The new Studio D includes custom acoustic treatments by Vicoustic and an Avid Pro Tools MTRX Studio System. Studio DMI\u2019s 4,000-square-foot complex also houses three other Focal-based studios. Studio D, the immersive all-Focal mix room, was featured in Mix Magazine\u2019s \u201cStudio Class of 2022\u201d, the magazine\u2019s annual \u2018Best of the Year\u2019 series.<\/p>\n
